Porto gets to grips with Honda at Valencia

A total of 16 riders from the 250 and 125 classes were at Valencia today to begin two days of intense testing, for most the final chance to make any adjustments to their machines ahead of the season opener. Sebastián Porto clocked the best time of the day, despite having only collected his Honda RSW at the recent Jerez IRTA test. The Argentinean is certainly making up for lost time and today he was a full second quicker than his closest rivals, fellow Honda riders Álex Debón and Roberto Rolfo. The Italian´s lap times suffered somewhat thanks to a crash, although fortunately he escaped personal damage. Eric Bataille also fell without injuring himself.

British youngster Chaz Davies, fully recovered from the fever which hampered him during the IRTA tests, continued his adaptation to the quarter-litre machine with the fourth quickest time.
