Campetella get Battaini boost ahead of final test

Franco Battaini has confirmed that the recovery process from his recent injury is ahead of schedule and the Italian will be ready for the final Aprilia test of the preseason at Mugello next week. The 30 year old suffered a triple fracture in his foot after crashing on the first day of the Jerez IRTA test one month ago.

`I am much better,´ said Battaini. `They recommended 20 days of complete rest and that time is up. I have recovered a good part of my physical training programme such as cycling and I will not have any problems being fit for Mugello next week. Luckily for me Aprilia decided to go ahead with the test, even though we will only have one day before they pack up the bikes to go to Japan´.

Meanwhile, Battaini´s team-mate Sylvain Guintoli is on his way to Italy now to visit the Campetella headquarters. The Frenchman will stay in Ancona for the team presentation on the 21st March and the aforementioned test at Mugello on the 24th.
