Quotes from tomorrow`s front row

Valentino Rossi (1st): `I am very happy with pole from yesterday because my lap time was good and the setting of the bike for the dry was not so bad – also the tyre. I am also happy with today because it was a different situation – I was fast in the rain, and we worked on setting for the wet. Anyway, I am hoping for dry conditions tomorrow.

Alex Barros (2nd): `My accident at Suzuka has given me problems up to now, and although I am not yet 100% I am probably 90 or 95. The Yamaha is good here and the tests we did at Mugello helped us. We have had a couple of problems in the wet and I am about 2 seconds off the top times so hopefully we will have a dry race and it should be fun.

Loris Capirossi (3rd): `Yesterday the practice was dry and the bike worked good. Today we changed many settings but could not get any grip and for sure in this condition it is very difficult. I hope for dry tomorrow and I will do my best. Marco Melandri (4th): `I hope it is dry tomorrow because this was only my second time on the M1 in the wet and it was so difficult. I am surprised to be on the front row because two weeks ago I was in a really bad condition.
