Perspectives from the top three riders after the 125 GP in Catalunya

Dani Pedrosa, winner:

´Every victory is fantastic but this is just amazing – I couldn't ask for any more. The race was tough – like any group race. The bike was losing a bit of acceleration but I also saw that my rivals had their problems and this gave me hope. On the final lap I knew exactly what I was doing and I made sure I didn't make the same mistake as last year, when Poggiali overtook me on the finish line. There were times when I thought about calming down to make sure I didn't make any mistakes but the support of the fans pushed me on. I knew they were here for me and I could not let them down.´

Thomas Luthi, 2nd position:

´I found it easy to catch up the riders and could not believe it when I was fighting for the lead. To be sitting here now and having made the podium is incredible. I raced at this track a few weeks ago for the Spanish Championship so it definitely helped me learn where to go and get a fast speed early on.´$$$ Alex De Angelis, 3rd position:

´I am every happy to be on the podium because i have taken some important points for my Championship standing. It was a hard race and even though my Aprilia was fast I could not pass anybody on the straight. Coming out of the corners the leading group was faster in acceleration and I could not use their slipstream. Towards the end of the race I was thinking about the win but then I saw that my rear wheel was finished and I preferred to be the first Aprilia across the line.´
