MotoGP stars send message to Assen fans

A host of MotoGP stars have added their names to a campaign targeted at minimising crowd interference at the Gauloises Dutch TT at Assen next week. Last year the post-race celebrations had to be cut short due to a track invasion, which not only endangered the riders but also the fans, and led to heavy punishment from the FIM, who removed their WC licence. Dangerously large bonfires at the camp sites were also targeted for criticism.

However, the circuit have since invested 700,000 Euros in making Assen a safer and more comfortable venue to watch Grand Prix racing, including a seated capacity extension of 17,000. The circuit have also launched an `Enjoy, don´t destroy campaign´, which has been backed by some of MotoGP´s top stars. Valentino Rossi, Randy Mamola and Dutch 250cc rider Henk Vd Lagemaat all send their message to the fans set to travel to Assen next weekend in these short videos.
