Ant West, Winner:

´This has been a great weekend. The bike was feeling good from the moment we got here and we pretty much used the same settings we had in Barcelona. I did not really want it to rain today, even though I have had a good result here in the wet before. I was confused when the rain came down and I did not know really how to approach the race. In the end I decided to push hard in the beginning and just go for it because the bike was working really well; I have to thank the team for their work, everything has been 100%.´

Franco Battaini, runner-up:

´This was good conditions for me! I was stuck behind a rider early on and I saw that West was getting away. When I got through to second I pushed hard and started to catch him. Then six laps from the end I lost my right knee slider and with so many right hand turns on this circuit I had to ease off. It was then impossible to close on West. However this is a good result and a great weekend for the team with the results.´

Sylvain Guintoli, 3rd position:

´The GP has been good for all the team and I am really happy for this. I got a good start and tried to push straight away in the first few laps. I passed Rolfo and Poggiali and followed Franco. For the last half of the race I was controlling the distance I had over Poggiali. In 2001 I took a fourth place here so I am really happy to improve and make the podium.´
