NASCAR star Kurt Busch enjoys MotoGP at Assen

Top NASCAR driver Kurt Busch got his first taste of MotoGP action this weekend, as he attended the Dutch TT at Assen. The 24 year old from Las Vegas has won three races already this season, as well as second at the Daytona 500, and lies sixth in the overall points standings. He took a well-earned break from the 41 race series to head over to Europe for the first time with sponsors Alpinestars, and enjoy some high speed thrills away from his 200mph stock car.

`I grew up around small-time bike racing back in the States before I jumped in the full-body stock cars,´ explained Busch, who travelled to the Nurburgring in Germany on Sunday to watch the F1 race. `MotoGP is a great draw and I think the fans really dig it because there are so many different manufacturers and riders, even though the Italian contingent seem to be dominating at the moment. It is great to see the compromise the riders make on the racetrack. I am pretty good on four wheels but I think it would be much tougher to handle all that power on just two!´
