Consistent Rolfo regains second place

Roberto Rolfo once again proved the importance of consistency during a World Championship season as he regained second place in the provisional 250cc standings after taking sixth place at Assen last Saturday. The Italian rider has not won a race this season, and has only finished on the podium twice, but has been in the top ten at every single race and lies just 25 points behind championship leader Manuel Poggiali.

`Assen was not an easy race, I made a good start but right from the beginning I had problems with my visor misting up and that made me extremely cautious,´ commented Rolfo. `The team and the bike worked well but in the weather conditions we had to suffer it was really complicated to fight with the front runners and not make any mistakes.´

`The important thing is that my sixth place, and the results of my rivals, allowed me to regain second place in the championship. That´s why it was important to leave Holland feeling rekindled. Now I would like to continue the progression in Great Britain and I hope Honda can continue to give us the same level of support as now to find the maximum competitiveness.´
