Captain Rossi prepares to set sail

MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi will make a special appearance in his hometown of London ahead of the Cinzano British Grand Prix next Tuesday. The Italian, who lives in Knightsbridge, is due to arrive by speedboat at Westminster Pier on the Thames, before boarding the Elizabethan boat for a special press conference at 1:15pm. The boat will meander gently down the Thames, passing famous landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Royal Festival Hall, Southwark Cathedral, the Globe Theatre, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and Canary Wharf before returning to dock at Westminster Pier at 3:15pm.

Rossi will then jump off the boat and onto a Honda Goldwing with top British television presenter Suzi Perry before riding up to Leicester Square to greet thousands of fans, in a repeat of the hugely successful reception at the same venue last year. The charismatic 24 year old will then spend a full hour chatting to fans, signing autographs and handing out goodies. Winners from local radio and newspaper competitions will receive tickets to the Grand Prix at Donington Park on July 13th, whilst one lucky soul will ride away on a Honda scooter, handed over to them by the man himself.
