Jorge Lorenzo (1st): "I started the session more or less dreaming of taking pole position and now I am really happy to have done so. I almost thought it would be impossible after such a bad time yesterday. I thought that it would be quicker and that somebody would go lower than 2.13, but maybe because of the heat it was not possible. I believed that I could go a tenth faster even though what counts is that I am first and feel good for the race."

Daniel Pedrosa (2nd): "The high temperatures affected the performance of the engine a lot, and it is now one of the slowest in the class. As far as the chassis is concerned we thought we had the right settings but this afternoon the bike began to slide a lot. To add to that, I was held up by a slower rider on my fast lap and I lost all the advantage I had. We have to keep working to solve these problems because the only thing for sure right now is that tomorrow will be a tough race."

Mika Kallio (3rd): "Finally I have got a front row start for KTM. Three laps from the end I could see the new pipes were something special and I went for a fast lap but I was held up and I had to go for another one at the end. For the race I have only one aim – full throttle from start to finish." Casey Stoner (4th): "We still had a couple of problems with the engine today but not enough to stop me from riding as I wanted to. After the disaster yesterday I'm glad to be on the front row. I haven't trained properly because of my injuries for the past couple of months which has made it very hard today with the heat. Hopefully I can stick it out in the race."
