The new Qatar circuit: A Virtual tour

A group of representatives of the Motorcycling Federation of Qatar headed by their president Naser Bin Khalifha Al-Ateiah, were present last weekend in Sepang to present a 3D animation of their new circuit that will host a round of the 2004 World Championship.

The virtual tour of the circuit passes over the layout, that is equipped with a straight 1068 metres long and uses 16 corners in total, it also shows the design of the building infrastructure and surrounds of the track that is 5.4kms in length.

The GP of Qatar is marked down to be the tenth round of the 2004 series and is set to take place on October 2nd. The plans for the track were approved by the safety commission during the weekend of the GP Marlboro of Portugal and work began on the circuit within two weeks.
