Casey Stoner, winner:

"It is a great feeling to win. Especially to beat the Spanish riders at their home GP. I have finally got that GP victory after trying for so long. I really did not think it would happen at the last race because everyone tries so hard. I'm really happy to be up here."

Steve Jenkner, runner-up:

"That was a fantastic race for me. I started from the fourth row, which was really far back and it was hard because I had to close a big distance. I made a few small mistakes on the last few laps that meant I could not pass Casey. I am happy anyway because it was a good ride."

Hector Barbera, third position:

"I was holding back until the last lap but in my two attempts to take the lead I ran wide and it was not possible to win. I gave everything I had to try and take the victory here today and I am disappointed to finish third. It has been a hard weekend and the race was the first ‘session' I finished because we lost two engines over the two days."
