British riders looking ahead to new season

The 2004 MotoGP World Championship is already looking like a memorable campaign for fans in the United Kingdom, where increased television coverage and major investment in the Donington Park racetrack are a direct reflection of the booming popularity of the sport. On the track, the British public will have an extra incentive to watch MotoGP in 2004, as three of their biggest road racing talents of recent times go head to head with the cream of world motorcycle racing in the chase for the ultimate prize.

Experienced MotoGP campaigner and Britian's only Grand Prix winner in the last two decades, Jeremy McWilliams, has the expectation of the nation slightly lifted off his shoulders this season as he is joined by World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson and highly-rated British Superbike Champion Shane Byrne. The trio were joined at a special presentation press conference at the Dominion Theatre in London on Tuesday, where they were joined by 250cc teenage prospect Chaz Davies.
