Honda return to action at Jerez

Honda's official 250cc teams begin their preseason preparations at Jerez this weekend, with World Champion Dani Pedrosa back in action for the first time in 2005 alongside his Telefónica Movistar team-mate Hiroshi Aoyama.

The pair will be amongst the first riders on track, with their session due to start on Friday along with 125cc outfit Elit Grand Prix, who again have Swiss youngster Thomas Luthi on board.

They will be joined on Saturday and Sunday by Fortuna Honda's quarter-litre pairing of Héctor Barberá and Jorge Lorenzo, as well as Team Kopron Scot's new line-up of 125cc World Champion Andrea Dovizioso and Japanese rookie YukiTakahashi.

The majority of other 250cc teams are scheduled to arrive at the Spanish track on Monday for a three-day session, including Casey Stoner and Roberto Locatelli (Carrera Sunglasses-LCR), Alex de Angelis and Simone Corsi (MS Aprilia Italia Corse), Sebastián Porto and Randy de Puniet (AAC Repsol Aspar Team) and Martín Cárdenas and Chaz Davies (Aprilia Germany).

Several 125cc teams will also begin testing on Monday, including Derbi, Gilera, Fontana, Abruzzo, 3C, Semprucci, Team Hungary and Team Aspar.
