Porto leaves Valencia on a high

Sebastian Porto was once again the fastest rider on the second and final day of testing at Valencia, where several 250 and 125 teams met up this week.

Porto improved his best time from yesterday by three tenths of a second, but saw the competition closing the gap as Fortuna Honda's Jorge Lorenzo came to within 0.010 seconds of the Argentinean, with Casey Stoner third fastest and just 0.044 seconds adrift.

Porto's new team-mate Randy de Puniet walked away unscathed after crashing and posted the fourth fastest lap whilst Hector Barberá and Roberto Locatelli also suffered minor crashes.

Chaz Davies was the fastest privateer aboard his Aprilia Germany kitted-bike, the British youngster clocking the fifth best time on his 18th birthday, ahead of factory-supported rivals including Barberá and 125cc World Champion Andrea Dovizioso at Honda and Aprilia pair Alex de Angelis and Simone Corsi.
