Sete Gibernau, Movistar Honda, 1st
"The thing is, everything looks to have been very bad this year, everyone talks about how a bad year it has been, but I would choose to see things in a completely different way. We have been very fast throughout the year, but we haven't been able to conclude the races with good results for various reasons. I'm happy because we have been fast and consistent. Here in Valencia we can fight for the podium, and if we can win we'll just go for it."

Marco Melandri, Movistar Honda, 2nd
"I'm pretty happy with qualifying, I had some problems this morning and I wasn't that fast, but we worked really well with the team and Michelin and came back stronger in the afternoon. I made some mistakes on my qualifying lap, so I tried to do a second lap with the qualifying tyres. Normally it's not possible to do such a thing, but I was able to get the second place. I'm happy about that and looking forward to tomorrow."

Nicky Hayden, Repsol Honda, 3rd
"Tomorrow she'll be a bone-burner! I mean everybody will bring their best. We hope to have a good race, obviously we know Marco has to make a big mistake to get into second in the Championship, but we're gonna bring all we got. I'm happy to hang in the front row. I don't think we have a harder track on the calendar to pass at than this place, so it's nice to be in the front row and tomorrow I'll do my best!".
