Capirossi to take part in Brno Post-GP test

MotoGP™ Safety Advisor Loris Capirossi will to try his hand at various MotoGP™ bikes on Monday at Brno, during the third official post-GP test of the season.

Capirossi will be back in action on Monday at the Brno circuit as he'll get a chance to sample various MotoGP™ prototypes. The Italian, a triple World Champion with two 125cc crowns and a 250cc title and nine-time Grand Prix winner in the premier class, will get a run on a Yamaha YZR-M1 and a Honda RC213V and will most likely test the available Suter-BMW and FTR CRT bikes.

After retiring from racing at the end of last season, Capirossi was appointed MotoGP™ Safety Advisor, providing valuable input on matters relating to safety, new regulations, the competition in general and the homologation of new tracks.

"It's a great opportunity for me as I've been wanting to test the new 1000cc bikes for a while now," explains Capirossi. "It's important for me to understand how the current crop of MotoGP™ bikes work, to better understand the feedback I get from the riders but also in my work with Bridgestone, following the development of new tyre specifications - so I believe this experience will be important towards future developments in the MotoGP™ class."
