Binder, Forés and Palao win at Valencia, Torres secures CEV Moto2™ title

A crowd of 15.000 spectators gathered in Valencia this weekend to witness how Jordi Torres and Julio David Palao joined Álex Márquez and Carmelo Morales as 2012 CEV Buckler Champions, in the Moto2™ Class and in the Kawasaki Ninja Cup respectively.

As usual the proceedings got underway with the Stock Extreme race, which saw the riders face tricky conditions, as only the racing line was completely dry. Xavi Forés, third overall this season, led most of the race to take victory in the final round of the season ahead of Kyle Smith and Carmelo Morales.

In the Moto2™ class, Jordi Torres clinched his second CEV Buckler title after a brilliant win ahead of Román Ramos and Kenny Noyes, while the Moto3™ category provided the most exciting race of the day.

A few riders from the Moto3™ World Championship were pitted against the Spanish Championship regulars and things didn't prove easy for them, as riders such as Antonelli, Sissis, Martín, McPhee and Guevara crashed out while fighting within the leading group. South African Brad Binder eventually took victory ahead of Belgian Livio Loi and Italian Kevin Calia.

In the Kawasaki Ninja Cup, Julio David Palao topped the podium to eventually win the Cup, finishing ahead of Francisco Javier Hidalgo and Jesús Alconchel.

Teams and riders are now facing a busy winter to prepare for the first round of the 2013 CEV Buckler, which will kick off on Abril 28th at Montmeló.
