Jerez final indicator ahead of MotoGP™ opener

Jerez final indicator ahead of MotoGP™ opener

As the highly anticipated MotoGP™ opener in Qatar edges ever closer, the grid will descend on the Jerez track this weekend as it commences its final official pre-season test of 2013, to prepare for and find their full potential ahead of the first race.

From Saturday the 23rd to Monday the 25th the full MotoGP™ field will head to the Jerez circuit with the aim of starting the season in as strong a shape as possible. Repsol Honda Team’s Dani Pedrosa and Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jorge Lorenzo have so far confirmed themselves as the men to watch once more for 2013, with Pedrosa’s outright pace and Lorenzo’s consistency.

But with Repsol’s Marc Márquez getting ever quicker at an astonishing rate, and Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi getting reacquainted with his old machine, the order at the top is under constant threat. And with satellite riders such as Monster Yamaha Tech 3’s Cal Crutchlow, LCR Honda MotoGP’s Stefan Bradl and GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Álvaro Bautista edging ever closer, as well as the CRTs finding further pace in their second pre-season, the test will prove vital to the first podium challenge under the floodlights in Losail.
