Huge interest as Miller gets MotoGP™ work underway

Scores of photographers and TV cameras witnessed Jack Miller’s first exit from the pits in the MotoGP™ test at Valencia on Monday - and once he returned, the Australian was wearing a huge smile.

Sunny skies and ideal temperatures on Monday gave rise to a positive first day for CWM LCR Honda’s incoming rookie Miller.

The youngster may have ended Sunday’s Moto3™ World Championship with a sixth race victory and the runners-up spot in the title race, but it was a completely different story for the Queenslander on Monday.

Having competed all season on a 250cc bike in Moto3, he got his first taste of the CWM LCR Honda Open machine, and began to learn his way around the track on the 1000cc beast.

The 19 year-old commented, “It was a really good day and we got a lot of testing done – I did a lot of laps! I enjoyed it so much though, and I think it might be one of the greatest days of my riding career. I have never had so much fun on a bike; the power was incredible, the brakes were great and it’s amazing how much grip you get from the tyres. It just means that I’m looking forward even more to the upcoming days of testing with the CWM LCR Honda Team. Although I’ve enjoyed today, we’ll be working really hard and staying focused on learning this new machine step by step.”
