Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS launch team of Champions

The Moto2™ team unveiled their new livery ahead of the start of the new season in Qatar, at the official launch in Madrid.

Spearheading their assault on the Moto2™ Championship is the reigning title holder Tito Rabat, who will be joined this year by the 2014 Moto3™ Champion Alex Marquez, as they aim to mount a serious challenge for the trophy once more.

Tito Rabat: "Being in the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Moto2™ team is an opportunity to continue growing as a rider, because it is difficult to win but it is even more difficult to stay on top. This year the championship will be more of a level playing field and this will force us to evolve both sporty and technically. We will have to work hard but this is something that motivates me; training went very well, I feel fitter than ever, so we have to go step by step but with the same enthusiasm as always. It is difficult to know what the strongest riders for this season will be, since in practice we can not draw definitive conclusions. What I am sure of is that the level will grow and there will be many opponents willing to go all out. This season my teammate is the Moto3 World Champion and clearly will be a strong opponent to fight to be at the top. But for my part, I clearly have to focus on my work to achieve the best possible results in both the days when things go well, as when difficulties arise. "

Alex Marquez: "Being part of a structure like this motivates me as I begin a new season that I continue with Estrella Galicia 0,0 but in which change of crew and category. No one has said this will be easy, we have to work hard because early in Moto2 are always complicated but we must be calm because the results always come. The goal is to learn and prepare for the 2016 season but we must not rule anything out. Mid-season onwards we think we can fight for the podium and maybe win a race; the term can be a little shorter or a little longer, but working hard all the time. Having Tito Rabat as my teammate motivates me, helps me and gives me peace; I can access their data and that is nice to have when you are under pressure for results. This will allow me to approach each race as if it were the last and, in times like this where you have more freedom, you can enjoy every grand prix one hundred percent."
