Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) had a positive final day on track at Losail International Circuit for the last preseason test of the year, with a 1:54.469 his best lap. Ending the day in third and fastest Honda man, the Spaniard found big improvements after a challenging Day 2 and shot up the timesheets the following day.
After a difficult early 2016, Pedrosa has gained more confidence after finding the situation much better a year on - ready to take that momentum into the race weekend.
DP26, P3: “I think today was a positive day in general. We wanted to solve a few problems from yesterday and step by step we improved our feeling, laptimes and rhythm in general. The progress is general, and although there’s still work to do, I gained confidence and that’s positive in preseason. This track isn’t one of my favourites, but the team did a good job and we moved forward. We’re doing better than a year ago and we’ll try and add that confidence to the GP – to do the best we can in the first race.”
