Baz: “I did not want to risk it…”

MotoGP™ debutant Loris Baz didn't enjoy the best start to his career in the premier-class of motorcycle racing in Qatar.

It was an uphill struggle for Athina Forward Racing’s Loris Baz during the race, starting 23rd on the grid the Frenchman did not have any grip from the front tyre, and was forced to come into the pits to change tyres, eventually crossing the finish line in 22nd position.

Loris Baz:
"I did not start well, but I recovered quickly and I started to get close to the points-zone. Unfortunately, after a couple of laps, I started to lose grip on the front and the bike became difficult to drive. I did not want to risk it and I came back to the pits to change tires. Too bad, I was really close to the points and with new tires I kept the same pace as those fighting for the Top 15. Overall it was a good weekend: I learned so much and I have collected a lot of info for the race in Austin".
