Bastianini: “I didn’t expect to arrive in Argentina in 2nd”

Gresini Racing Team Moto3’s Enea Bastianini currently sits in 2nd in the Championship standings ahead of the race this weekend in Argentina.

The 17-year-old rider from Rimini collected valuable points in both the first two Grands Prix of the season and therefore arrives at the Termas de Rio Hondo eager to continue the good results obtained so far.

Thanks to the fourth place finish in Texas, Bastianini is currently in second position in the overall standings with 33 points.

Enea Bastianini:
“Thanks to the fourth place obtained in Texas I got very important points for the championship: honestly I didn’t expect to arrive in Argentina in second place in the standings, so I’m very happy with how it's going so far and in Termas de Rio Hondo I will try to continue on this path. I really like the track and I think that it suits my riding style, so we will try to get another good result. Kent in the United States has made a difference and if he will repeat such a performance it will be difficult to stay with him, but we will try to do it!”
