Bastianini: “I’m happy to be 3rd in the World Championship”

Gresini Racing Team Moto3’s Enea Bastianini heads to Jerez third in the Moto3™ World Championship standings.

The first three races in Qatar, United States and Argentina have always seen Enea Bastianini fighting at the top: thanks to a second, fourth and ninth place finish, the 17-old-year rider from Rimini is starting the long European season in third place in the overall standings with 40 points.

Enea Bastianini:
“Jerez is not so fast, but I like it because it’s technical and has many beautiful corners: we have already carried out some tests in the winter with the new bike, but we have always been unlucky because of the bad weather, so we will start again from scratch, also because we will find higher temperatures. In the last two races we could have collected more points, but I’m happy to be in third place in the World Championship: now we are back to Europe and we hope to maintain this position or even gain positions in the standings.”
