Kent: “I got slowed down by some traffic on track”

Leopard Racing’s Danny Kent was on his way to snatch pole position from Fabio Quartararo before running into traffic on his last lap.

Danny Kent only just missed out on pole position as the young rider from Chippenham in the UK was hit by traffic during his ultimate effort to improve his lap time. However, Kent sees himself in a strong position to head into Sunday morning’s race.

Danny Kent:
“Anyway, it’s been another strong weekend for us so far and we qualified for the front row again. For this I’m really happy. Unfortunately during the last lap I got slowed down by some traffic on track, though I think it was possible to catch the pole, but anyway we’re in a strong position to head into the race. Tomorrow there are the points to collect so we just need to be clever and try to do our best. For sure it will be the first race this year in this heat, but anyway I’m feeling strong and well prepared.”
