Pedrosa Blog: A satisfactory test

The GP in Le Mans was a clear example of turning a disadvantage into an advantage...

In his official blog for boxrepsol.com Dani Pedrosa explains how his return to MotoGP went in Le Mans:

The circumstances during the whole weekend weren’t easy and in the end the position at the end of the race wasn’t what I had wanted, but I think that our attitude was correct and at the end the overall result of the test was satisfactory.

It’s a shame that I fell so soon in the race on Sunday. But what’s important is that I was able to rejoin the race and rack up the kilometers. After all the time I was away, not competing, I needed this training and regaining confidence on the bike. It was almost like a test, with positive final results, and although I’m still not 100%, I hope to improve in the next few weeks.

Of course, what has made me smile most this weekend is the affection that you’ve sent my way. You’ve been supporting me for weeks, especially in the most difficult moments, but now that I’m back to competing, it was arriving to Le Mans and seeing your affection in person, in the paddock itself.

I’ll leave you with some very special photos, one of the fondest memories of the GP. We met Kumamon, and we took the chance to get some pictures with him, laughing the whole time. He’s the mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan, where Honda has a factory, and as you can see he came to Le Mans:
