 Record-breaking Rabat gives master class in Moto2™ FP3

Tito Rabat becomes the first ever Moto2™ rider to break the 1’ 52 barrier around Mugello as he tops FP3.

Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS’s Rabat set a 1’51.820, to break his own record set yesterday for the fastest lap at the Tuscany circuit, as he managed his best time on his 23rd lap during the session.

Speed Up Racing’s Sam Lowes (+0194s) was in second, with Championship leader Johann Zarco (+0.214s) in third on the Ajo Motorsport Kalex.

Thomas Luthi (+0.691s) on the Derendinger Interwetten Kalex managed the fourth best time, although he was over four-tenths back from Zarco. Paginas Amarillas Luis Salom (+0.720s) was in fifth, just ahead of Simone Corsi (+0.813s) on the Athina Forward Racing machine in sixth. Axel Pons (AGR Team), Alex Rins (Paginas Amarillas HP40), Xavier Simeon (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) and Jonas Folger (AGR Team) completed the top ten.
