Xavier Simeon is hoping to be able to fight for a top six finish at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya.
Simeon and the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 will try to follow the sequence of positive results of the last three races - in which the 25-year-old Belgian rider got a fifth, an eighth and a sixth place finish, respectively - trying to fight again for the top positions.
Xavier Simeon: “We head to Barcelona after a sequence of three positive races where our performance has been constantly growing, so I’m confident that we can continue to fight for the top five. To stay at the top we just need to work on the bike to try to be even more competitive, because in some areas we lack something compared to the fastest. In particular, we are looking for more rear grip on corner exit, yet managing to retain an agile bike. If we succeed, we will have all it takes to fight with the fastest. I like the track a lot, so we will attack!”
