Binder: “We need to keep working”

Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Brad Binder eager to repeat past Assen form after struggling in previous rounds.

Two successive top ten finishes have South African Brad Binder hungry for more, especially after his podium finish at Jerez earlier this year. A ninth in Assen last year was a strong result but with a move to one of the ‘factory’ teams in Moto3™ Binder is searching for more, with aims set on the podium.

Binder feels that his style suits the flat but fast and flowing Dutch track and is expecting big things, especially with the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad who have taken a win and two podiums in the last three years of the Moto3™ at Assen. Fast corners have in previous rounds been an area in need of improvement for Binder on the KTM, no doubt the first area for he and the team to work on.

Brad Binder: "I think this weekend I can have another good performance at Assen, as it is particularly well suited to my riding style. It's a fast and flowing track one of my favourites on the calendar. Last year we got a good result, entering the top 10, but hopefully we can improve this year. I feel confident about this round. We need to keep working, especially on the fast corners, because the last few races have not gone as well as we wanted and can be higher up the order. I can’t wait to get things underway."
