Oliveira: “The goal is to fight for victory”

After a strong performance in Assen, Oliveira is ready to try and return his KTM to the podium.

With two victories in the last three races Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Miguel Oliveira is in the best form of his career. He’s third in the standings but, more importantly, has been slowly eating into Danny Kent’s (Leopard Racing) advantage in the last few rounds. At 43 points the gap is still vast but anything is possible half the season still to come. Oliveira has only had one point scoring finish at Sachsenring with fourth last year.

Miguel Oliveira: “Sachsenring is a circuit with a lot of braking and that is an aspect in which we are strong, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it's a circuit that suits the KTM more than our rivals. This year we have some different characteristics than last season and we cannot compare things too much. It's a track with many left handers and I especially like the last part, the faster sections. I've never managed to finish on the podium at Sachsenring, but the goal is to fight for victory. We have to give our all to get a good result.”
