Pedrosa: “You benefit a lot from being at the front”

Pedrosa: “You benefit a lot from being at the front”

A return to the front row for Pedrosa at the GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland, completing a Repsol Honda 1-2.

In Qatar Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) started from second on the grid, after this he was forced to several races due to arm pump surgery and has been recovering henceforth. Each race has seen Pedrosa grow stronger and stronger and gain more confidence, finally able to begin to deliver on his potential in Qualifying for the German GP.

Pedrosa has taken four MotoGP™ wins at the German track since moving up to the premier class in 2006. He will have a tough time making it five with Repsol Honda teammate Marc Marquez in dominating form. Front tyre choice will be critical for all riders and with the asymmetric and medium tyres both seeming to work over race distance there’s room for a gamble, perhaps even the hard.

Dani Pedrosa: “I'm happy because we had a good qualifying session and productive practice sessions beforehand, with a strong pace. Now that we are on the front row tomorrow it will be important to make a good start at this circuit, because it is vital for the race. The track is so small that you benefit a lot from being at the front, so hopefully this time we can go with the first group. The front tyre choice will also be important. We'll see how it goes tomorrow, because we're eager to get a good result. Marc has a slightly stronger pace than mine, but we will try to do well and have a good race.”
