Suter plan return to Moto2™ in 2016

The Swiss firm will return to the intermediate class with a new machine.

Suter Racing Technology (SRT), the Swiss company born from former Gran Prix racer Eskil Suter, are planning their Moto2™ return in 2016 having just unveiled the design of their new SRT MMX2. After three constructor titles in the Moto2™  World Championship and a difficult 2015 season, the company are taking steps to return to the forefront next season.

Following months spent analysing and studying how the Moto2™ class has evolved with their current partners, IodaRacing Team and JPMoto Malaysia, SRT have worked on developing the MMX project. All the hard learned lessons from previous seasons in all three Grand Prix classes have merged into defining this new machine. The final design stages are underway before testing begins at the end of summer.

Amongst the list of changes and improvements on the SRT MMX2 are a new chassis and swing arm with a greater range of adjustments and a new rear linkage. There are also changes to the rider’s position on the bike resulting in improved ergonomics and aerodynamic performance.
