Lorenzo Dalla Porta replaces Isaac Viñales

Lorenzo Dalla Porta replaces Isaac Viñales

The Husqvarna Factory Laglisse team will have a new face on their Moto3™ machine in Indianapolis.

Lorenzo Dalla Porta will join the Husqvarna Factory Laglisse team in the Moto3™ World Championship from Indianapolis. The Italian has been awarded this new opportunity thanks to the excellent work he has done in the Moto3™ Junior World Championship. The aim of the Laglisse Academy in the CEV structure is to train pilots from the beginning so they can advance to the World Championship in the future. Great results from Dalla Porta in his first season in the CEV and a good connection with the team have helped accelerate this process so that the Italian rider will complete the second half of the season in the World Championship with the Husqvarna Factory Laglisse team.

Dalla Porta replaces Isaac Viñales who in 2014 joined Team Laglisse. The team set Viñales a series of goals for last season and, although they were not met, he was given another opportunity and new goals for 2015, these goals had to be achieved by midseason. Beyond this point, without having achieved the expected results, the team have had to make the difficult decision and opted to continue the project with Lorenzo Dalla Porta.

Jaime Fdez-Aviles (Laglisse CEO)
“It is a shame that we could not achieve the objectives we set ourselves with Isaac. In 2014 we set goals that we could not achieve but I still wanted to give it another chance in 2015 with a focus towards the middle of the season. I would have loved to continue to have Isaac on our team but we have to be faithful to the goal we had set and make a firm decision. I want to thank Viñales for these two years of working together and wish him all the luck in the future. I also want to take this opportunity to welcome Lorenzo Dalla Porta to the World Championship.”
