Simeon: “Winning is a great feeling, but…”

Xavier Simeon says he has already forgotten what winning fees like ahead of the Indianapolis GP.

Simeon ended the first half of the season in the best possible way by winning at the Sachsenring. The Belgian rider now has 84 points and currently lies sixth in the Moto2™ World Championship standings.

Xavier Simeon: “I spent a nice summer break, celebrating the victory with my friends and my family, then training hard in Spain. Winning is a great feeling, but… I’ve already forgotten it! We already look forward to the next races because we want to repeat these kinds of results: so far we have achieved an excellent level of competitiveness, so we arrive in Indianapolis with the aim to fight again for the top positions. Indy is certainly not the most beautiful track in the calendar and in addition it also has a slippery asphalt on which the tyres suffer a lot; however, some corners are not bad at all and from our side we will do our best, as always!”
