Rossi closes in on new record

Rossi’s win at the British Grand Prix took him closer to Phil Read in the list of the ten oldest riders to win races in the premier class.

It was the fourth win of the season for the Italian, and 86th of his premier class career. If Rossi wins at the Japanese Grand Prix this year, or at any time afterwards, he will move above Read on this list:
