Vierge to continue with the Tech3 Racing Team for 2016

Vierge to continue with the Tech3 Racing Team for 2016

The Tech3 Racing Team and Xavi Vierge are both pleased to announce that they will continue their partnership for the 2016 season.

The young Spaniard delivered some notable performances after replacing Ricky Cardus at the midpoint of the 2015 season. Since joining the team, the 18 year old rider has contested in four Grand Prix and despite never having ridden the tracks before, his attitude and tireless efforts aboard the Mistral 610 have impressed and also highlighted his talent. In addition, Vierge is contesting in the Spanish CEV Moto2 series this season and has won two races and clinched three podiums in six races, leaving the title potentially within his reach with three events left to run.

Vierge: “I am super happy to stay one more year with the Tech3 Racing Team. Ever since I started riding motorcycles I have dreamed of competing in the world championship, so after achieving this now, I have fulfilled the first part of a life long ambition. I have learnt a lot already due to the nature of this tough championship and of course, there is still a lot more knowledge to gain, but I am very pleased to have the chance to do this with a team as experienced as the Tech3 Racing Team and Herve. I must thank them as well as the sponsors for the faith they have put in me and I will give my all to deliver some top results to pay them back. We still have five more races to go in 2015 and I will continue to learn as much as I can in order to be as ready as possible for my first complete season in the Moto2 class next year. I am looking forward to the challenge and I am confident that we can produce some strong results together.”
