Pedrosa Blog: Great GP in Aragon!

The race was really exciting and Valentino was very decisive in his overtaking I was able to fight right up to the last moment…

In his latest official blog for boxrepsol.com Dani Pedrosa reflects on the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon where he crossed the line in second after a race long battle with Valentino Rossi:

Hi everyone,

Today is a very special day for me because it’s my birthday! Thanks to everyone who remembered! After an intense weekend, it’s great to receive all your support.

Right before the GP started, I was lucky enough to meet Björn Dunkerbeck. He’s a global windsurfing legend winning 41 world titles. He’s incredible! Meeting athletes of this calibre who work so hard to achieve their triumphs is always a pleasure.

The Aragon GP has been one of the best ones of the season. I was really excited to race and, as I told you last week, I was motivated to do my best. Finding the right bike setup was complicated, but I enjoyed riding on this track and the team worked tirelessly all weekend.

The race was really exciting and Valentino was very decisive in his overtaking I was able to fight right up to the last moment, holding on to the end with a lot of overtaking. It was nice to compete like that, with the home fans supporting me!

Yesterday we had to test in Motorland and soon we’ll begin our Asian tour – one of the most demanding stretches of the championship. The temperatures in Asia and Oceania tend to vary a lot and it’s a bit problematic working in such tough conditions. I’ve already started preparing and training for the tour so I can be at my best.

Thanks to everyone for all the support.

Question of the week
What would you say to a child who told you that you were their inspiration and they wanted to be a rider too?  Question from Estela

Hi Estela.
A child should let their heart guide them, that’s where we keep our life’s hopes and dreams, and our purest feelings.

Best wishes,

Dani Pedrosa
