Antonelli: “I am happy as the feeling is really good”

Niccolo Antonelli was delighted with his start at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan that saw him end the day on top of the combined timesheets.

The Ongetta-Rivacold rider clearly enjoys the Twin Ring Motegi as he topped both practice sessions on Friday. His best time of 1’57.609 was just under a second slower than Danny Kent’s 2014 Pole Record (1’56.555) and saw him finish 0.109s ahead of Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Miguel Oliveira.

Moto3™ FP3 kicks off at 9:00am local time on Saturday in Motegi.

Niccolo Antonelli: “It has been a positive first day, we did two great sessions and obviously I am happy as the feeling is really good. In the second session it was more difficult to reduce my time, anyway we have just few things to try tomorrow in order to improve again.”
