McPhee to continue with SAXOPRINT RTG in 2016

Scotsman John McPhee signs for the all-new Peugeot factory SAXOPRINT-RTG team in Moto3™ for 2016.

The Racing Steps Foundation is set to sign a contract for its Moto3 rider John McPhee (Oban, Argyll, Scotland) to race with the new-for-2016 Peugeot Motocycles factory squad, SAXOPRINT-RTG.

It will be McPhee's fourth full season in the world championship 250cc lightweight class with the team that currently competes with Honda power.

The 21 years-old RSF-supported rider, who is currently 11th in the championship, said: "This year has been a tough one for me and SAXOPRINT-RTG as a whole.

"But looking forwards to 2016, we have a fresh and exciting start, with new management and a new Peugeot Motocycles backed bike which provides us all with a terrific opportunity to show what we are made of.

"I'm really looking forward to working closely with the Mahindra Racing and Peugeot Motocycles technical and marketing teams through the SAXOPRINT-RTG to develop the new bike.

"Hopefully my three years spent in the world championship and the experience I've amassed over that time will prove to be of benefit."
