Antonelli: “I am not perfectly good with my shoulder”

Shoulder issues restrict track time for Niccolo Antonelli during a private test at the Valencia circuit.

It was the first test day for the Ongetta Rivacold Racing Team at the Valencia circuit. After the winter break, Niccolò Antonelli and Jules Danilo came back on track to test the new 2016 Honda. The Japanese factory made several changes compared to last year’s model: exhaust system, throttle body and even the weight, now two kilograms lighter than the previous version, have all been revised. Unfortunately Antonelli is still not at hundred per cent of his physical form, the Italian did just 16 laps. In the afternoon the rain forced the team to stop, but tomorrow both Ongetta-Rivacold riders will start working again for the second and last test day.

Niccolo Antonelli: "This morning we did some laps to test the new bike, I didn't turn a lot as I am not perfectly good with my shoulder. In the afternoon it started to rain and we were obliged to stop. Anyway I am happy as the feeling with the bike seems to be very good so I hope tomorrow to find better conditions in order to continue the work started today".
