Bastianini: “It was a fun and productive day”

Testing continues for Enea Bastianini as he searches for increased stability in fast corners.

Ten days after their last test in Valencia, Gresini Racing Team Moto3 headed to Jerez for yet more testing work as they build towards the start of the season. Enea Bastianini worked hard from the off at the Jerez circuit, setting a best time of 1’47.683 while searching for setting improvements. This time put Bastianini second overall and most importantly the Italian was able to work on improving the bike’s stability in fast corners. The team will have one further day of private testing before the first official test in Jerez on the second of March.

Enea Bastianini: “It was a fun and productive day: we started more or less from the base reached in the previous test at Valencia and we started working from there, finding interesting solutions. We will try to improve in the faster corners, where at the moment the bike is still a bit unstable, although actually towards the end of the day we already found a direction that could lead us to identify the problem and therefore find a good solution.”
