Andrea Dovizioso is not one to hold a grudge and has already changed his focus to the race in Austin.
A second place finish looked guaranteed for Andrea Dovizioso in Argentina until an unfortunate collision with his teammate. After the initial disappointment had faded, Dovizioso looked to the positives from the Argentina GP weekend as Ducati once again proved themselves capable of challenging for the podium. The Circuit of the Americas should see this trend continue, Dovizioso having gone well at the circuit in the past with two podiums, including a second in 2015. With historical results as strong as these, the Ducati Team man is almost certainly set for a strong weekend aboard the Ducati. With a 1.2km long straight, the track should also play to Ducati’s top speed advantage.
Andrea Dovizioso: “We are looking forward to the race at Austin with confidence. I know that we are competitive and I feel ready to fight things out on this fantastic track, which has completely different characteristics to the previous two. In 2014 and 2015, I managed to get onto the podium: the Texan circuit is one that I really like and so I am anxious to get out on track in order to continue the good performances we have shown so far.”
