Marquez Blog: Objective is the podium

In his latest boxrepsol.com blog Marc Marquez discusses his training schedule and looks ahead to the Italian GP.

Hi everybody!

This week it’s Italy’s turn, with Mugello. In the last few days I’ve been able to concentrate on preparing myself for the Grand Prix, and I really think it’s a good time for me.

I’ve been able to train all out, conditions have been good in the last few days and so I could do a full training programme. I also did some Dirt Track in Rufea, and we had some time to go out for a cycle around Cervera.

I even had some time to relax and watch the Formula 1! It was really great to see someone as young as Max Verstappen winning his first race, congratulations!

Now it’s our turn. I like Mugello. It’s one of the fastest and most spectacular circuits on the calendar. We really want to get back on the podium, that’s our main objective, and I will do all I can to get there.

I want to congratulate Dani on his good news that was made official this week: his renewal with the Repsol Honda team for two more seasons.

And I mustn’t forget to congratulate Barça for winning the Spanish Liga! It was a really exciting weekend for football lovers!

Question of the week from Michelle

When did you get the idea to support children who do motocross, and how do they benefit from it?

Hi Michelle.

It was last year, but it all happened really quickly. I already knew Raúl and after the Junior Motor Camp there was no going back. Raúl was also one of the students. It all came about quite naturally and I offered it to this young rider, and the truth is he’s doing an amazing job.

All the best,
Marc
