Barbera: "I had to try"

Spaniard crashes out after moving through the ranks in the wet

Hector Barbera (Reale Avintia Racing) was making good progress towards the front in the San Marino GP when he went flying out of contention, and the Spaniard is disappointed he lost the chance to get a good result but relieved to escape the incident unharmed. Next up it's MotorLand Aragon and home turf, where he'll be looking to bounce back quickly.

Hector Barbera, DNF: "The crash was a shame because we could have got a good result. But we have to take the positives from the weekend and that's that we were running better than usual and in the race we were near the front. The conditions were really difficult and I had to try. I was getting closer and closer to Viñales and Miller, maybe I pushed too push and I fell. I went flying and the best thing overall is that I'm not hurt - and that the next race is at Aragon."
