Advantage Martin in Moto3™ FP1

The Championship leader topped the opening session of the weekend ahead of McPhee and Oettl

Championship leader Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini Moto3) was the quickest rider in Moto3™ FP1 at the Pramac Motorrad Deutschland Grand Prix, setting a 1:27.272 to finish 0.225 seconds ahead of John McPhee (CIP – Green Power) – the Scot setting his fastest lap on his final run of the session.

Third place in the morning was German rider Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing), kicking his home Grand Prix off in solid fashion, with Enea Bastianini (Leopard Racing) in fourth and Raul Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) rounding out the top five as the Spaniard replaces the injured Darryn Binder this weekend.

The lightweight class will be back out on track for FP2 at 13:10 local time (GMT +2).
