Kent-born competitor Leon Camier has enjoyed much national success thus far in his career, including the British Supersport and British Superbike titles in 2005 and 2009, respectively. In 2002 and 2003 he made several appearances in the 125 World Championship and he has spent the last five years in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship in which he has achieved podium finishes - although 2013 was blighted by a foot-breaking accident in Istanbul. Wrist surgery for Nicky Hayden meant the requirement of a substitute rider for the Drive M7 Aspar team at Indianapolis and Brno, with Englishman Camier responding to the call.
