MotoGP 2027 rider line-up: the official announcements so far

7 seats bagged, plenty still to confirm: the grid is forming for the new era of MotoGP in 2027

As we tick off rounds in 2026, more and more news is coming out with regards to 2026. We stick to the facts so far and put all the teams latest news in one place so you can familiarise yourself with who is in what colours for next year. We’ll keep updating it in real time too, making sure you’re as up-to-date as possible.

- CONFIRMED - 

DUCATI LENOVO TEAM

The reigning World Champions will retain their very own reigning World Champion in Marc Marquez until at least 2028. The Spaniard will have a new teammate though in Pedro Acosta, who moves from KTM machinery. ‘The Shark’ will also be in Ducati red until at least 2028.

APRILIA RACING

The current Championship leaders confirmed Marco Bezzecchi on a multi-year deal ahead of the Sepang Test at the start of 2026 but his teammate was confirmed at the Dutch GP: Francesco Bagnaia. The double World Champion has a four-year deal with the Noale brand.

MONSTER ENERGY YAMAHA MOTOGP

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins have been officially announced as not part of the project from 2027 onwards. In their place, 2024 World Champion Jorge Martin and Japanese sensation – and newest MotoGP winner – Ai Ogura. Both have contracts until the end of 2028.

 

- TO BE CONFIRMED - 

CASTROL HONDA LCR

One side of Lucio Cecchinello’s team has already been confirmed and was done-so last year, with Johann Zarco penned in for 2027. The other side with Pro Honda LCR is yet to be announced.

BK8 GRESINI RACING MOTOGP

Nadia Padovani’s team have yet to make any announcement for 2027 and beyond. Current riders Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer are both Grand Prix winners, with Marquez being last year’s runner-up.

PERTAMINA ENDURO VR46 RACING TEAM

Valentino Rossi’s outfit currently have the honour of being the top-placed Ducati team in the World Championship standings although no rider line-up has been confirmed. It’s worth noting that ‘The Doctor’s quip after the Catalan GP to Fabio Di Giannantonio about “are you sure you don’t want to stay” didn’t go unnoticed, suggesting the #49 is on the move.

SUPERFILE TRACKHOUSE MOTOGP TEAM

What is 100% confirmed is that Ai Ogura will not be part of the American team’s plans after his new deal with Yamaha. We await confirmation on the line-up at ‘the house’.

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING AND TECH3

Nothing has been officially announced regarding Aki Ajo’s or Gunther Steiner’s teams for 2027, besides the fact that Pedro Acosta will not be back in orange.

HONDA HRC CASTROL

No concrete plans have been confirmed by the Japanese marque; one change is that Alberto Puig will leave his role as team manager and become an advisor, being replaced by Mikihiko Kawase.

PRIMA PRAMAC YAMAHA MOTOGP

Finally, no news for Paolo Campinotti’s team with regards to 2027. Rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu took part in the tyre test on Monday after the Czech GP with the new 850cc prototype; besides that, no indication of who is there in 2027 and beyond.
