Another rider confirmation lands, and this time it’s our first rookie announced for 2027 as BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP confirms that current CFMOTO Aspar Moto2 star Daniel Holgado will make the jump up to MotoGP with them next season.
Holgado, as well as being a four-time Moto3 race winner, is a three-time Moto2 Grand Prix winner to date and was the 2025 Rookie of the Year in the class last season after notching up five podiums – two of those being victories – on his way to finishing an impressive P6 in the overall standings. The 21-year-old Spaniard has a win and a P3 to his name in 2026 too and will join BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP as one of the most exciting young talents on the grid.
Holgado's teammate? That's to be confirmed in due course, but what we do know is Gresini Racing are officially welcoming at least one fresh face to their ranks for the beginning of MotoGP's new era in 2027.
