GP of Champions returns to Silverstone for an amazing cause

Two Wheels for Life’s GP of Champions returns to Silverstone from 6–9 August, giving fans the chance to get closer to the world of MotoGP while raising vital funds for an incredible cause.

Throughout the British Grand Prix weekend, fans can enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes access, meet stars from across the MotoGP, Moto2™ and Moto3™ paddocks, bid on unique memorabilia and experiences, and take part in the Silverstone Simulator Challenge.

Funds raised will support programmes that use reliable transport to help health workers deliver essential care to isolated communities across Africa.

Behind the scenes at Silverstone

The weekend begins on Thursday 6 August with Two Wheels for Life’s sold-out MotoGP Experience Day.

A total of 750 ticket holders will receive exclusive access to the MotoGP paddock from 14:00 until 19:00, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the teams, riders and latest machines as preparations for the British Grand Prix gather pace.

Guests will also be invited to an exclusive pit-lane walk from 16:45 to 17:30, providing an even closer look inside the world’s most exciting sport.

Rider appearances and live auctions

The action moves to Silverstone’s Main Stage on Friday and Saturday, where Two Wheels for Life will host interviews, competitions, giveaways and appearances from stars across the MotoGP paddock.

The charity’s famous live auctions will take place during the late-afternoon Main Stage sessions, giving fans the opportunity to bid on rare rider and team memorabilia alongside unforgettable MotoGP experiences.

Friday’s auction will be hosted by TNT Sports presenters Suzi Perry and Gavin Emmett, with riders joining the session on stage. Saturday’s auction will be led by presenter Michael Hill.

Among the exceptional items going under the hammer is a one-of-a-kind replica of Barry Sheene’s Dainese racing leathers. Worn by Barry’s son Freddie Sheene at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the leathers have also been signed by racing legends Steve Parrish and Kenny Roberts.

Fans hoping to secure experiences such as MotoGP grid access are encouraged to arrive early, as these lots are expected to be auctioned near the beginning of each session.

Those unable to attend Silverstone can also browse the latest Two Wheels for Life experiences and memorabilia through the charity’s online auction page on CharityStars.

Fans can put their own racing skills to the test throughout the weekend in the Silverstone Simulator Challenge.

Located at the Racing for the Future truck, the simulator gives competitors the opportunity to race around the famous Silverstone circuit. The fastest driver will win a MotoGP™ grid and paddock experience for two, with proceeds supporting Two Wheels for Life.

Sunday 9 August

• Race Day
• The MotoGP race begins at 13:00, with the weekend’s Main Stage entertainment concluding with the Rick Parfitt JNR Band at 17:30.
